I had two Wisconsin winter photo shoots (say that 3 times fast) in one weekend just a little while ago.
It was the first snowfall of the season and every mid western photographer knows, that is the prime time for winter photos. The snow is gleaming white and fluffy and everything looks like something out of a Norman Rockwell piece.
Stephanie and I have knows each other since elementary school! It makes me feel old to admit that it's been over 20 years, (ohmygosh....seriously?).
She is pregnant with her third boy who is due in February. Bless this woman's heart!
Being a mother of one girl, I was in total culture shock when I went to meet Steph and her 4 year old and 2 year old little men!
Cars, trucks, smashing and jumping were involved in this shoot!
Later on, Steph's brother's daughters (3 beautiful darling dolls!) stopped by and we had ourselves a few "cousin" shots as well!
I also photographed her two gorgeous younger sisters too!
I couldn't have asked for better subjects, it really turned out to be a very special shoot.
When my high school friend Tosha hired me to do a family photo shoot for them I was more than happy to accept.
She and her husband have two small boys ages 2 and 5 and they were just as sweet in person as they look in these photographs.
In my mind, I had visions of photographing them in fall colors walking around their beautiful farm.
And then it snowed....a lot.
SOOOOO....
We had to have a slight change of plans. There would be no "walking" because the snow was coming down too hard and it was wet and sticky and would soak our heads.
After a brief re grouping on my end, I found the perfect location.
We nestled ourselves in their big rustic front porch and started snapping away.
